Who we are

SwiftRoll Garage Solutions is a mobile garage door service operating across the Perth metropolitan area from a workshop and dispatch base at 16 Temby St, Beckenham WA 6107. We are a service-area business: our technicians come to you. Workshop and dispatch base — we come to you. Not a showroom, no walk-in trade.

Quotes and estimates

• Every job starts with a free diagnostic estimate, given before any work begins. You approve it before we touch the door.
• This includes after-hours and emergency call-outs. An emergency is not a reason to skip the quote — you hear what it costs before we open the toolbox.
• We do not publish prices on this website, because the honest figure depends on your specific door, what has actually failed, and what it needs.
• If we find something during the work that changes the scope, we stop and tell you before continuing.
• For door replacements we measure on site before quoting. A figure given over the phone for a replacement is an indication, not a quote.

Access and the work site

We need safe access to the door and, where the door is powered, to the power supply. If a vehicle, stored goods or a locked gate prevents access on the day, we may have to reschedule. Please tell us at booking about anything unusual — a shared right-of-way, a steep or unsealed driveway, a strata basement, or restricted access hours.

Where the door is common property in a strata or company-title scheme, we will need the authority of whoever is entitled to instruct us, and we quote in a form that separates per-lot work from common-property work.

Safety

• We will not leave a powered door with its safety devices bypassed or disconnected. If we find a safety edge or photocell that has been defeated by a previous repair, we will fix the underlying fault and reconnect it.
• We will not provide instructions for working on springs, cables, drums or winding gear, and we will decline to talk anyone through it. This is a safety position, not a commercial one.
• If we consider a door unsafe to operate, we will tell you and, where necessary, make it safe and secure the opening rather than leave it running.

Parts, warranty and consumer rights

Parts we fit carry their manufacturer's warranty. Where a door was made to order, the lead time is the manufacturer's and we will give you their realistic figure rather than an optimistic one.

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Those guarantees cannot be contracted out of, and we are not going to pretend they can be.

Licensing — what we do and do not claim

There is no garage-door trade licence category in Western Australia, so we make no licensing claim for door work and publish no licence number. Where a job involves electrical installation work — adding a power point, or hard-wiring a motor — that is work for a licensed electrical contractor under the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991, and we will tell you when your job needs one. Plugging a motor into an existing power point is not electrical installation work. We have set this out at length in who is allowed to work on your garage door in WA.

Cancellation

Let us know as early as you reasonably can if you need to cancel or reschedule, so the slot can go to someone else. We will do the same for you if something on our side changes, and we will tell you if we are going to be later than the window we gave you.
