Check the door before the motor
We disconnect the motor and run the door by hand. If it is heavy, sticky or will not stay put half open, the problem is the door and a new motor would simply fail sooner. This one step saves customers more money than anything else we do.
Diagnose the unit properly
Power in, capacitor, board, drive, limits, force settings and safety beams — tested in order. Perth's summer storms and afternoon power fluctuations kill more boards and capacitors here than mechanical wear does.
